What kind of guitar should i get?

i have been playing guitar for about a year and a half, and i am kind of looking into getting a new guitar. right now all i have is a fender squier strat and a squier acoustic. i want a new electric guitar, but i need something kinda cheap (like 500 at most). i was looking at some epiphones. any suggestions on a good cheap guitar?
