Stepson's problems always become MY problems?

I have a grown stepson (he's 19). He has had brushes with the law, and as a result of one of them, he has to make a court appearance tomorrow. His dad flatly refuses to take off work to make sure he gets there (stepson won't get a job to be able to afford a car so that he can do his own thing). So, my husband just UMES that I have time to take an entire day to spend at the friggin' courthouse. I work too, and I'll be missing an entire day- I think that my husband thinks because I work from home, I have all the free time in the world. I'm sick of everyone else's problems becoming mine, and I'm sick of waiting on everyone.
