Is the media responsible for turning America into a bunch of paranoid bickering children?

They certainly didn't help. The Bush Administration did their best to foster an Us vs. Them mentality; do you remember the "if you're not for us, you're against us" speech? The Bushies have more responsibility for the creve than the media.
